Traditional music thrives in the Loch Ewe area, with many hotels and restaurants featuring live music throughout the year.
The traditional music highlight of the area is the weekly family ceilidh dance at Poolewe Hall, held on Wednesday evenings thoughout the visitor season. These ceilidhs have been running for several years now and have established a new tradition. Nationally famous bands now play at the ceilidhs each week and additional entertainment is provided by our talented local musicians. For more information see the website Poolewe Ceilidh Nights. Local organisation West Coast Arts organise regular plays, poetry readings and musical events of all varieties. The local branch of the Gaelic association also organise events celebrating the Gaelic culture of the area. The Gairloch Heritage Museum gives a fascinating insight into the culture and tradition of the whole area. | ![]() Current weather forecastClick for the latest forecast for the Loch Ewe area |
